China-based electric vehicle startup NIO unveiled the NIO ES8, an electric SUV planned for serial production for the China market later this year. The manufacturing and supply chain that will produce the ES8 is already in place, the company said. The NIO EP9 is priced at US$1.48

First Solar signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Chinese government to build a 2 gigawatt solar power plant in Ordos City, Inner Mongolia, China. The project will operate under a feed-in-tariff which will guarantee the pricing of electricity produced by the power plant over a long-term period.
