Those of us familiar with powerful EVs were curious where the drive train for the MINI E originated.

Both ministers drove a MINI E electric car at the event as they announced plans to support motorists by providing help worth £2000-£5000 towards buying their first electric or plug-in hybrid car when they hit the showrooms. The i8 Concept features a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) drive with a system output of 260 kW and a range of up to 35 km (22 miles)in all-electric mode.
