Daimler Buses will be providing the battery-electric Mercedes-Benz eCitaro and the new eCitaro G articulated bus. Hamburger Hochbahn AG received the first series-production model of the fully electric driven Mercedes-Benz eCitaro in November 2018 as part of an order for 20 eCitaro units.

But theyve needed definitive proof that PHEVs wont increase pollution. CA, NY, MA and other states have had Zero-Emission Vehicle programs since the early 1990s because battery electric vehicles in those states, taking into account power plants, are far cleaner than gasoline cars in reducing urban air pollution and smog.

Mercedes, Volkswagen, Audi who initially tried to play the H2 game, but now are totally anti-Hydrogen and are investing in battery electric cars. The climate clock is ticking and we have to start hitting polluters where it counts–in the money. Maybe H2 will be okay in large vehicles like trucks.
