The directive covers four main air pollutants: sulphur dioxide (SO 2 ), nitrogen oxides (NO x ), non-methane volatile organic compounds (NMVOCs) and ammonia (NH 3 ). New maps give Europeans close-up picture of air pollution from diffuse sources
