The largest supplier of electric light commercial vehicles (LCVs) to a major UK Government programme, Smith is supplying 47 of its Smith Edison vans into Phase One of the LCVPP. Edison can typically achieve 80 miles on a full charge, and can be fully recharged in as little as three hours.

The US Department of Energy (DOE) has selected 25 cost-share projects under the Clean Cities program that will be funded with nearly $300 million from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The program includes the installation of 10 alternative fuel refueling sites (two B20, one Electric Recharging, and seven CNG).
