I have also seen people advertising EVs on eBay who claim 100 mile range from a one hour charge using a standard 110V outlet. Some industrial sites are even set up with 440V 3 phase service. Not surprisingly, 80% is the target value that industrial users, like those that utilize electric fork lift trucks, use.

Last week, at the Model S unveiling in Los Angeles, Tesla revealed that an optional “ QuickCharg e &# battery would get a full charge in 45 minutes from a 480V outlet. For the standard version, Tesla plans to use a battery that can recharge at a typical 220V outlet in about four hours. outlet is 120V.
