China’s Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (ZGH) has raised $400 million through the first Green Bond sale on the offshore market from a Chinese automobile company to support the design, development and production of range-extended electric vehicles by its UK subsidiary, the LondonTaxi Company (LTC), manufacturer of the iconic London Black Cab.

Eco City Vehicles PLC (ECV), a developer and supplier of eco-friendly commercial vehicles and the London licensed taxi, launched an all-electric prototype of the London-licensed Mercedes Vito taxi, developed by a consortium of companies including ECV’s manufacturing partner Penso, Mercedes Benz UK and Zytek Automotive.

The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, has renewed calls for scrapping the most polluting diesel cars and giving drivers cash incentives to switch to cleaner vehicles as part of the evidence he gave to the Environmental Audit Committee today. There are also proposals to tighten the standards for the London-wide Low Emission Zone from 2025.

Despite this, an analysis of more than 1,800 major roads show that a small number of these—81 or 4%—are due to breach legal pollution limits for NO 2 , with 33 of these outside of London. We could take an Oslo taxi and charge it in a bus terminal in Wenatchee, Washington or vice versa. In our Gothenburg and Oslo taxi projects, the chargers are at the taxi stands. Grant Transit, which is in Moses Lake, Washington. I’m looking to extend our taxi projects to cities across the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
