This project started about a month ago when I became co-chair of the Oregon Electric Vehicles Association. With rising gasoline prices, I believe the demand for freeway capable electric vehicles is going to increase over the next few years. I wanted a project that the group could share their collective brain power and rally around.

Mr. Kulongoski wants to make Oregon the go-to state for electric vehicle production. In a flurry of electric vehicle activity, three back-to-back announcements this week have placed a spotlight on Oregon’s plans to be the friendliest state in the nation in which to build, sell and buy electric cars.
