These high-capacity 8-volt golf-cart batteries are 70 pounds apiece. I got this battery strap at a Yamaha golf cart dealer. A modification of the prior strap is basically what is suggested in the DC kit instructions. I found a funny shaped link in the kit, but could simply not get it to fit anywhere in the system.

If you build a car as a "kit car" with no real factory, then yes, it will never be an economic success. Then consider that in order to actually go any farther than the neighbood store, one still had to have ANOTHER car. run the hardware store and buy a new one. You guys go ahead and buy your 40 mile per charge GM golf cart.
