Kia Georgia’s West Point assembly plant is undergoing a transformation that will allow for the assembly of the all-electric 2024 EV9 three-row SUV ( earlier post ) in the second quarter of 2024. 2024 EV9 Like Telluride, EV9 has the potential to be another ‘game changer’ for Kia. Best of all, it will be assembled in West Point, Georgia.

Kia Corporation described its roadmap to 2030 at the company’s 2022 CEO Investor Day virtual event. The roadmap builds on Kia’s successful Plan S strategy first announced in 2020. Kia also announced its four key business targets for 2030. Becoming the number one brand in the global purpose-built vehicle (PBV) market by 2030.

During 2014, the global plug-in electric vehicle (PEV) industry is poised to grow by 86% and will surpass more than 346,000 new vehicles sold, according to a new white paper—“ Electric Vehicles: 10 Predictions for 2014 ”—published by Navigant Research. More mainstream models will come from Kia, Mahindra, Škoda, and Volkswagen.
