The Metropolitan Omaha Education Consortium and Student Transportation, Inc., (STI) With more than 17 million vehicles on the road worldwide, propane autogas is the third most commonly used transportation fuel, behind gasoline and diesel. STI) are collaborating to deploy more than 400 Blue Bird Propane-Powered Vision school buses. The contract is the largest transportation agreement in STI’s history and is also the biggest single order to date of propane buses for Blue Bird.

Omaha, Neb.; According to Clean Energy, Redeem RNG yields at least a 70% reduction1 in lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions when compared to conventional diesel or gasoline. More than 22% of the conventional diesel and gasoline fuel previously used by UPS’s ground fleet is now being replaced by alternative fuels including renewable natural gas and renewable diesel. UPS announced an agreement with Clean Energy Fuels Corp.

The car came straight to Omaha from the Detroit auto show. MidAmericans David Sokol, BYDs Wang, and company advisor Li Lu flew with Sokol from Detroit to Omaha so that Wang could meet Buffett in person. BYD has also begun selling a plug-in electric car with a backup gasoline engine, a move putting it ahead of GM, Nissan, and Toyota. They generate fewer greenhouse gas emissions than cars that burn gasoline, and they have lower fuel costs, even when oil is cheap.
