The 1987 Sprint ER came in second place, due to its insatiable thirst for go-go juice on the highway (51 miles per gallon). Just $66 with gas priced at $1.16 per gallon. It loves to run!

Ive found it facinating how car commercials changed the main MPG number they promoted before gas went over $4 a gallon as city miles. Think of driving any vehicle in the hot Los Angeles summer time. Denmark did that with Wind Power and now most of their energy comes from wind rather than oil, natural gas, or coal.
