If you want to be picky, the 198 6 Sprint ER was the gas-mileage king of 1980s America, rated at 44 city and 53 highway miles per gallon. The 1987 Sprint ER came in second place, due to its insatiable thirst for go-go juice on the highway (51 miles per gallon). Just $66 with gas priced at $1.16 per gallon. It loves to run!

The UK government aims to allow only zero-emission cars and vans from 2030, with the NHS responsible for 4% of UK greenhouse gas emissions every year. In total, the fleet has 160 zero-emission vehicles.

The CI of a fuel is determined by the sum of all greenhouse gas emissions associated with the production, transportation, processing and consumption of a fuel (its pathway).

A visit to the gas station takes minutes not seconds and so the California Air Resource board, when it established fast charging standards, set the goal of charging the batteries to 80% in 10 minutes. I like to use the example of someone driving from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. I have never been a big fan of battery swapping.

Last week, at the Model S unveiling in Los Angeles, Tesla revealed that an optional “ QuickCharg e &# battery would get a full charge in 45 minutes from a 480V outlet. For on-the-go juice ups, the idea is to exchange your dead battery for a fresh one owned by Better Place.

Ive found it facinating how car commercials changed the main MPG number they promoted before gas went over $4 a gallon as city miles. Think of driving any vehicle in the hot Los Angeles summer time. Denmark did that with Wind Power and now most of their energy comes from wind rather than oil, natural gas, or coal.
