In the US, Toyota announced it will extend its hybrid battery warranty from 8 years / 100,000 miles to 10 years from date of first use/150,000 miles, whichever comes first. This extension is valid for all new model year 2020 Toyota hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fuel cell electric vehicles.

In 297 miles of mostly freeway driving through Southern California we averaged 22.1 mpg, but did a bit better on a 207-mile freeway run with the smart cruise control set at 65 mph, achieving 25.1 Powertrain – 10 years/100,000 miles. New Vehicle – Five years/60,000 miles. Edging into luxury territory.

In 235 miles driving through Southern California, we averaged 24.1 For 180 of those miles, on an all-freeway run with the radar cruise control set to 65 miles per hour, we averaged 28.9 Flash Drive: 2018 Toyota Highlander.
