A disappointing compliance car, the Ford Focus EV, languished while plug-in hybrid versions of the midsize Fusion and small crossover C-Max sold relatively well, until Ford came up with a real plan. Volvo and its sister company Polestar has just started selling its EVs. Ford has had little to show in the EV market some some time.
