Sales of the Hyundai Nexo hydrogen fuel-cell crossover remain limited to California, but Hyundai announced on Thursday that it is expanding sales within the state—by one dealership. Roseville Hyundai, located near the state capital of Sacramento, is the fourth dealership to offer the Nexo, a Hyundai press release said.

Retail hydrogen-station operator True Zero reported that it has powered more than 1,000,000 zero-emission miles by fuel-cell vehicles. True Zero opened its first charging station nine months ago, so the milestone signals a ramp up of fuel-cell vehicles on California roads in recent months.

Driving a fuel-cell-electric Toyota Mirai, the founders of True Zero completed a scenic drive throughout California, covering 1,438 miles (2,314 km) in a 24-hour period, thus breaking the official Guinness World Record for electric miles driven in 24 hours.

The automaker OEM Advisory Group (OEM AG) of the California Fuel Cell Partnership (CaFCP) has developed a consensus list of recommended station priority locations for the next 19 hydrogen stations to be built in California. The OEM AG members are American Honda, General Motors, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Toyota and Volkswagen.

The California Fuel Cell Partnership (CaFCP) recently published Hydrogen Progress, Priorities and Opportunities (HyPPO), a report that describes the status of prior Hydrogen Road Map goals and important next steps and actions. Progress in California towards rolling out fuel cell vehicles since the publication of the Road Map in 2012.
