As sales of electric vehicles begin to reach significant numbers across the US, states are exploring approaches to replace lost tax revenue since EV drivers don’t pay fuel taxes as drivers of gas-powered cars do at gas stations. Hybrid sales also increased 95% in 2021 and 196% since 2018. MPG from 28.7.

Ive found it facinating how car commercials changed the main MPG number they promoted before gas went over $4 a gallon as city miles. Ill never purchase one again, no matter what the mpgs. If no one wants your car (because people think it sucks), then no one will buy it, regardless of how good the fuel economy may or may not be.
