Last month, Lightning Systems announced that it has developed a hydrogen fuel cell version of the LightningElectric developed in partnership with several industry partners that will extend the range of the vehicle to more than 200 miles. LightningElectric is available for the Ford Transit as part of Ford’s eQVM program.

Volkswagen subsidiary Electrify America last week submitted supplemental information to the California Air Resources Board (ARB) detailing its proposed charging investment in and benefit to underserved, low-income, and disadvantaged communities in the state as part of its court-mandated investment plan. The supplement adds a sixth: Fresno.

Continuing progress at about 5% per year would reduce new vehicle emissions to about 125 grams of carbon dioxide per mile (gCO 2 /mi) and to below 100 g CO 2 /mi by 2035.
