PHEVs Are Cheaper to Run and Cheaper to Maintain [ to top ] 1/4 the Price? In some areas where wind and hydropower is wasted at night, the rate can be as low as 2-3 cents per kWh. PHEVs might one day actually help reduce it by providing power from parked PHEVs batteries during daytime hours (see Vehicle-to-Grid in our FAQ).
