Ford’s Mustang Mach-E in its first year on the market (Ford delivered 3 Mach-E units in December 2020), was the number one-selling BEV among legacy automakers at 27,140 units in 2021. What is a surprise to us, was the rebound in sales of the Prius Prime, which was up 128% YOY. 4 (16,742) BEVs.

The main study shows that under all nine scenarios for both rates of market penetration of PHEVs and the evolving power grids characteristics (capacity/carbon intensity), PHEVs will vastly reduce greenhouse gases for the next 40 years. The high demand for the Honda Civic hybrid tell us its at least $3,000. How much more?
