EcoCAR 2: Plugging In to the Future named Mississippi State University, with its series-parallel plug-in hybrid electric vehicle design, the Year One winner at the EcoCAR 2012 Competition in Los Angeles. The 15 universities competing in EcoCAR 2 gathered for six days of judged competition for $100,000 in prize money.

Ohio State EcoCAR built a series-parallel plug-in hybrid electric vehicle powered by E85. For the second leg of competition, teams headed to southern California for track events, including autocross, acceleration, and consumer appeal at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana. Our first two ride & drives, in 2014 and 2015, were the largest NDEW events held in the area west of the Mississippi, south of St. The chapter scheduled pre-events that stretched for nearly 3 weeks before NDEW began.
