The Niro EV has an EPA estimated driving range of 239 miles, but in our real-world driving delivered 273 miles. This range is outstanding and equals or exceeds electric vehicles costing far more.

Driving range will no longer be an obstacle, because customers will be able to plug their cars into charging units in any of the 500,000 charging spots in Israel. Nissan is working on an electric car that it says is on track to have a 100-mile range and 26-minute charge time. For on-the-go juice ups, the idea is to exchange your dead battery for a fresh one owned by Better Place. My parents live about 180 miles away, which is well outside the range of most electric cars.
