ElectraMeccanica Vehicles will begin customer deliveries of its single-occupant, three-wheeled, electric vehicle, the SOLO. The SOLO is a purpose-built, three-wheeled, all-electric solution for the urban environment. The company earlier introduced a new fleet and commercial version of the SOLO Cargo EV.

The Piaggio MP3 is a three wheeled maxi-scooter already being sold in the USA! Not everyone wants to get hot and sweaty to go to a restaurant, and parking is such an issue in downtown Los Angeles (and Beverly Hills) that buses are almost tolerable. America is too much into BIG.
