Out in the desert as part of Burning Man , our encampment, Snow Koan Solar, is setting up a solar photovoltaic EV Charging Station (at 7:30 and Desert) for electric scooters, golf carts, sofas and barstools. We'll also be taking Burning Man art projects off petroleum generators by switching them to solar electricity.

Think Global managers want to develop the car plant and launch an engineering center, perhaps alongside. There are choices for 110 volt versus 220 volt, slow versus quick charges, and solar options. I wonder how the hapless car buyers without the PhD’s in engineering are going to deal with all of this?

GM will leapfrog Toyota and Honda by providing an electric car to the masses by the end of next year. The four-door sedan will deliver 40 miles on a charge; a small gasoline engine will recharge the battery as it approaches depletion, extending its range by as much as 200 miles. The car is expected to cost around $40,000. you see that?
