The 1987 Sprint ER came in second place, due to its insatiable thirst for go-go juice on the highway (51 miles per gallon). It also had an upshift light (located in the lower right corner of the cluster) to remind drivers that fuel economy was more important than brisk acceleration. Just $66 with gas priced at $1.16 per gallon.

Last week, at the Model S unveiling in Los Angeles, Tesla revealed that an optional “ QuickCharg e &# battery would get a full charge in 45 minutes from a 480V outlet. For on-the-go juice ups, the idea is to exchange your dead battery for a fresh one owned by Better Place. It gets worse in a larger vehicle.

based technology will actually achieve any economy in production. It was a Manufacturing Failure, as GM NEVER planned to build the car in Volume, so No Economies of Scale were ever achieved. Think of driving any vehicle in the hot Los Angeles summer time. Interesting in any case. Thats right. Have we forgotten?
