Moreover, if any issues arise with the EV battery and you need the manufacturer to fix it, you could need the certificate to prove that it is the car, not the charger, that isn’t functioning properly.

If these would be classified as a motor vehicles then there would be a requirement of actually having the MOT and car tax disc displayed. The vehicle is still not in the mass production but it's likely to be available in the end of the year based on what the manufacturer says. Wish them all the best with getting on the project.

Neutral catachip @ Apr 19th 2009 4:29PM Now only if electronics manufacturers could do the same thing. I imagine there will be tax incentives to build green generators when were at that stage. There are a few phone manufacturers that havent switched yet. They will have to access how much it will cost them to switch.

Why is it taking so long for manufacturers to get this sorted?? Theres a company in Guernsey (a UK island) which does conversions (the Mk1 shape), but I want a current shape model and a 60 mile range is just fine. A Smart/Tesla combo sounds fantastic for the commute. Mercedes please take note.
