She certainly is staring at us intensely as we pilot the bright-white three-wheeled craft down the street, gingerly depressing the brake pedal to make sure were under the 30-mph speed limit. But because its technically a motorcycle, the Aptera doesnt have to meet the same safety tests as a four-wheeled vehicle.

We can now say with confidence that it is worth waiting 70+ days to make the shift to the left side of the car, following a brief spin around Cobo Hall in a prototype vehicle during the SAE World Congress here in Detroit. One last major area that simply must be changed is that the Circuit has basically zero rear visibility. Small size.

With a top speed of only 65 MPH and a 100 mile range, the Think Global will remain a niche City Car for conspicuous green consumers who aren’t concerned about safety. My personal criteria for an EV is 80/80 MPH/miles range, but thats because drivers either go 80 or stopped around here. Does that bother you?
