Fisker is pricing its new Ocean electric SUV with an MSRP of US $37,499. After the US federal tax credit is applied, the cost of the Fisker Ocean drops to a starting price of US$29,999 (US). Fisker will also offer a “$0 drive off” option through a fully financed $2,999 down payment for credit-approved customers.

At these prices, people are buying the "environmental feature" -- they want to be among the first owners of the worlds cleanest extended-range vehicles. The nonprofit CalCars does conversions to demonstrate new designs and provide a platform for different batteries; we dont sell conversions. 25 or more gets you a bumper sticker.

Competition is going to force them to produce a comfortable, usable, extended range EV for that price, and I will just have to wait. The first one was the Zytek design you mentioned, but this is a 2nd "new and improved" design from Tesla, with more power, higher speed and greater range.
