Ford Motor Company has certified the first 67 dealers in California, New York and New Jersey to sell the battery-electric 2012 Focus Electric. Those three states represent markets that account for a large percentage of electrified vehicle sales and will begin seeing the Focus Electric later this spring.

Ford has tripled to more than 200 the number of US dealers certified to sell its lineup of plug-in electrified vehicles, including the new C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrid that is on sale now and delivers the equivalent of 105 mpg combined in electric mode.

Genesis is on schedule to have 100+ dealers across the country in the coming years. Until then, Hyundai dealers will handle Genesis sales.
