Otherwise you’ll just be buying a dinosaur that you’ll have to pay to convert or dispose of. There’s three different plug-in alternatives for you below, a Tesla, a Mitsubishi MiEV and a Plug-In hybrid coverted Prius. Plug them in, charge them up, drive silent, drive clean. The Focus is supposed to get 100 miles to a charge, but Frank is very worried about where people are going to plug in their cars. You’ve got to show you’re going to show that you’re going to build something that’s going to look good – not from the aesthetic point of view, from the building point of view. Well Sunpower and Sanyo are first tier, meaning in the field they’re converting at about a 16% efficiency rate I believe. They’re my heroes.

BMW M cars – they’re coming with hybrid drivetrains. And if we’re guessing, we reckon it could be called the Ranger Lightning (see above). Kia e-Niro – Kia is expected to confirm it will begin going electric in Australia in 2021 and it’s the e-Niro set to lead the (err) charge. Soon, apparently.
