It will be the first purely electrically powered production vehicle from the Kecskemét plant in Hungary. In this process, the high-voltage battery is charged by converting the mechanical rotary motion into electrical energy during overrun or braking mode. After the EQA, the EQB is the second all-electric compact car from Mercedes-EQ.

Technologies such as plate honing are used during assembly of the V8 at the Audi plant in Györ, Hungary. The thermal management system uses a ball valve to disconnect the water pump during the engine warm-up phase. The fuel consumption indicator bars turn green and a text message is also displayed.
