He works for Systemica, who has been contracted to design the Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) system for the citadel of Masdar. PRT advantages over a human driven taxi include freedom from accidents caused by human error with PRTs offering “ a rail level of safety ” according to Dr. Guala. Guala is expecting a long roll out for PRTs.

The power was still on as the dashboard and LCD screen so the auxiliary battery was still connected. The computer of the car is connected all the time, even when you push the power off switch. Under the mating, on the floor was a bolted plate under which is the MSD, the safety fuse for the HV section of the vehicle. It did not.

To save installation space for the batteries, and in contrast to the other models in the Vito series, the vehicle has front-wheel drive. To avoid unnecessary power losses and the risk of damage caused by unauthorized persons when the vehicle is parked, a safety system (“Watchdog”) deactivates the high-voltage network when not in use.

Besides the cells and the cooling system other components round off the battery system, namely the high-voltage and service connections, the electronic battery management system, the electro-mechanical components, the housing and various sensors and actuators. The gain in driving dynamics also increases driving safety.
