Blending the MPG of SUVs and small cars understates the real consumption and rewards automakers for building gas hogs and unsafe micro cars which makes people want to buy "safe" gas hogs. The fact that no journalists do their research to bring up all those connections is sad, sad. Its a damn shame. Call it the EV2?
