I wrangled a few hours of charging back in December from Bob Hayden, the SF Department of the Environment's EV Czar. San Francisco's Department of the Environment just received its first LEAF, which now uses one of these spaces. Juice flows. No connecting to a network, no payment. Take that every way it can be taken.

The inverter converts the DC solar into AC power that can power the house or be directed back into the Grid as well as connecting up the Battery packs that uses 48 Volt DC. . Neutral richii @ Apr 19th 2009 5:28PM @ everyone, I can see what your trying to say, that without gas powered vehicles that a much larger strain will be put on electrical facilities that also contribute to air pollution and degrade our environment. Merely connecting the cable has to do the work. Not the wisest thing to do.
