The team presented a paper on their work at the 2013 SAE World Congress in Detroit. Given the properties of the fuel blend, improved fuel efficiencies can be generated by several approaches, including downsizing/downspeeding; increased compression ratio; reduced enrichment; and the leveraging of improved efficiency at part load.
