The concept behind V2G had gained traction in the late 1990s after California’s landmark zero-emission-vehicle (ZEV) mandate went into effect and compelled automakers to commercialize electric cars. AC Propulsion’s experiment was timely.

Shifted earlier focus to all-electric Focus in 2011 with Magna. Focusing on all-electric, Nissan-Renault partnership with Better Place for EVs.

The Volt is, and always has been, more than than an electric car. GM will leapfrog Toyota and Honda by providing an electric car to the masses by the end of next year. One wonders if the recent headway at MIT in building lithium ion cells using ?virus? Wired Home Subscribe Sections Cars 2.0 Interesting in any case. Thats right.
