Toyota’s Collaborative Safety Research Center (CSRC) announced four new research projects focused on enhancing advanced technology system designs to be intuitive, easy to understand and to safely engage with drivers. Toyota’s CSRC is investing $1 million in research projects focused on creating systems that are safe and efficient.

First announced in 2014, CSRC Next ( earlier post ) will direct $35 million through 2021 towards research designed to support a safe transition to the future of mobility. The new research effort, named CSRC Next, will focus on the challenges and opportunities of autonomous and connected vehicle technologies over the next decade.
