The vehicle utilizes Azure Dynamics’ hybrid electric drive train on the Ford E-450 chassis. By the mid 1990s Aura was organized into 4 operating divisions: (i) AuraSound, (ii) Aura Industrial and automotive, (iii) Aura display and (iv) Newcom. Mounting kits were developed for most models of GM, Ford and Chrysler vehicles.

GM says it is already looking ahead to the next generation of Volt-based vehicles — it unveiled the Cadillac Converj concept in January — and says costs will come down as the technology spreads to more models. If the EV1 was viable (or even close) we would see Ford, Toyota, Honda, etc all with 80 mile cars right now.do you see that?
