Peugeot has designed a new gasoline-electric plug-in hybrid racing concept: the L500 R Hybrid. Developed by Peugeot Sport teams, the 500-bhp plug-in hybrid powertrain features two electric motors (one front and one rear) plus a 270 hp gasoline engine, yielding peak torque of 730 N·m (538 lb-ft).
