The GEM e2 two-passenger vehicle features six 12-volt flooded electrolyte batteries and a range of up to 35 miles on a charge. Since the company was established in 1998, it has placed more than 45,000 electric-powered vehicles on the road worldwide. To date, GEM cars have driven more than 450 million emission-free miles.

The fleets include two utility fleets, five cities and towns, three counties, ten private companies, two state fleets, ten school districts, and two universities. Vehicles to be deployed include 163 CNG, the vast majority for high mileage taxis and 18 heavy-duty LNG refuse trucks. The vehicles will be deployed across the state.
