The plant will be Proterra’s second after its original plant in Greenville, SC; the company said that its expansion was prompted by the strong growth in market demand for the new Proterra Catalyst electric buses. Foothill Transit will also become the first customer for Proterra’s new extended-range vehicle, the Proterra Catalyst XR.
