Several global indicators on the supply of oil and the known carbon pollution environmental damages its caused all lead us to find cleaner ways of transportation. Electric cars a still a joke. One thing is for sure; - electric cars bring down the air pollution, but they sure create another waste pollution problem. at least, the recycling infrastructure for the well-established lead-acid batteries is robust. None of the new electric cars are planning to use old-tech lead acid batteries. In the U.S.

80 miles was the range of the EV1 with Lead Acid batteries, that GM tried to use because they wanted the project to fail. You guys go ahead and buy your 40 mile per charge GM golf cart. Generating electricity from wind and geothermal rather than a CO2 producing sources would help alleviate that problem.
