Many things have passed through my mind over the past year and a half while converting this vehicle. Here goes (in no particular order): Things That Went Well During the Conversion The 914 AC kit from Electro Automotive is a good one. If you do your own conversion, tap into all these resources whenever you have an issue.

If the 12V battery is dead, you need a small 12V battery (9V would probably work) to activate the DC-DC converter relay to bootstrap the 12V charging process. I'm getting more involved with the OEVA club. If I don't get elected co-chair next Thursday, I'm going to start an open-source EV conversion kit sub-group within the OEVA.

Many EV groups online for more info or google EV clubs or EV racing and follow the website’s links. . — Jeff U 6. Lead batts are around 98% recycled.
