USDOT FTA announces $182M in Low-No grants for transit vehicles & facilities nationwide

The project selections were approved as part of the Low- or No-Emission (Low-No) Grant program, which funds the deployment of zero-emission and low-emission transit buses and supporting equipment and facilities. The non-profit Center for Transportation and the Environment (CTE) said that it is partnering on 18 of the projects.

NSF Awards RAPID Response Grant to Modular Genetics and University Collaborators to Develop Bio-Dispersants for Oil Spill Clean-Up

The US National Science Foundation has awarded a one-year, $200,000 RAPID Response grant to synthetic biology company Modular Genetics , Inc. They will deliver the bio-dispersants to a team at Columbia University who will measure the ability of each preparation to disperse oil samples collected from the recent Gulf of Mexico oil spill.
