The conversion can double or even triple fuel economy, thereby severely limiting carbon dioxide emissions. CO2 from cars does not contribute to smog and is not harmful to human health but it is one of the leading contributors to global warming. As a result, the plug-ins burn much less fuel, thereby significantly reducing CO2 emissions.

As more renewables come online, battery electrics just keep getting cleaner and greener.
