Chrysler’s ENVI group leveraged the flexibility of its electric-vehicle strategy to demonstrate an all-electric version of its best-selling minivan.

Reuters reports that Chrysler has disbanded its ENVI team, formed in 2007 to bring electric-drive vehicles and related advanced-propulsion technologies to market. At the North American International Auto Show in January 2009, Chrysler had introduced two new EV concepts and updates on three earlier EV concepts developed by the ENVI group.

DC Fast charging is not compatible. Dodge was most recently the performance division of the old Chrysler Corporation. Even though they are both owned by Stellantis, the Chrysler Pacifica PHEV has badging on the rear lift gate identifying it as the only plug-in hybrid minivan on the market, as does the Jeep Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid.

VW quotes a maximum charging rate of 170 kilowatts, and DC fast charging from 10 to 80 percent of battery capacity in about 20 minutes (under ideal circumstances). On the other hand, it’s a minivan with sliding side doors.
