A shitty obscure Chinese electric car. Dropping to just 3km range when Chinese EV refused to charge. Rent a petrol or diesel car for your holidays. In many places, electric cars are cheaper to rent than equivalent petrol cars. And as Europcar says on its website: Save on Petrol! All of this wastes time.

With two Electric cars, at the time a Nissan Lean and Mitsubishi Outlander, we use a considerable amount of electricity but not much petrol, so already we were a reasonable way down the less CO2 road. Then as the sun sets in the West, hopefully the battery pack would have enough juice to power the house for the rest of the evening. .

Therefore, until we get quick-charge batteries -- based on new breakthroughs, Ill take a WAG and estimate that we will have real 5-minute quick-charge batteries in perhaps 10 years -- we are likely to get our juice mostly from our home chargers. We should have built more Nuclear power plants and created a nuclear waste recycling program. A simple, clean, efficient EV that wont run out of juice because of its on-board gas generator. Commendation, absolutely, but GM needs to make sure their company continues on to make sure that money doesnt just go to waste.
