General Motors China and its joint ventures sold 814,442 vehicles in China in the first half of 2009. The market benefited from stimulus policies adopted by the Chinese government as well as growing demand for personal transportation in tier-three and tier-four cities and rural areas. Why hes banking on an obscure Chinese electric car company and a CEO who - no joke - drinks his own battery fluid. The E6 will hit the Chinese market later this year.
