The special edition vehicles included trucks and SUVs sporting an array of accessories and trim kits, while cars and SUVs using electricity are continuing to grow more dominant by the day. kWh NiMH plug-in hybrid (PHEV) conversion kit that enables all-electric mode driving at speeds of up to 70 miles per hour (until the battery pack is depleted) in a converted Prius. Some previous Prius plug-in conversion kits allowed motorists to go as fast as 52 miles per hour using a “forced stealth” mode.

Hyundai’s 2018 Plug-in Hybrid Ioniq ( earlier post ) is heading to dealerships now—joining the Hybrid and Electric models—with an aggressive starting price of $24,950—$5,000 less than the full battery-electric version of the Ioniq but with more than five times the range. The PHEV has a 3.3 Ioniq Hybrid (Blue).
