Good for the grid, good for you, good for the electric company (who won’t meet their AB 32 state mandates for renewable energy generation without our help).

If you build a car as a "kit car" with no real factory, then yes, it will never be an economic success. Notice in [link] that GM carefully avoids claiming to reduce CO2 by shifting to the grid, but leads people off the track by focusing on smog related issues. The EV1s failure was a failure of Management. Fisker is a good example.
